At this meeting, held on the 11th August, we looked at protecting PDF documents with passwords, some interesting Mac easter eggs and members discussed several topics.
PDF Passwords
Robert talked about the options available to password protect PDF documents and limit the functions available to viewers (such as blocking printing).
Apple have a useful support article on this.
He demonstrated a possible bug where a PDF with the open and owner passwords set the same won’t print on iOS even if the correct password is entered.
Mac Easter Eggs
We looked at a number of fun easter eggs hidden in macOS highlighted by this article on Mac Rumors.
When discussing easter eggs, DaveK mentioned experiencing the first known easter egg, in the Atari game Adventure.
